Im speaking of small low-end jpegs, not raw. When I doubleclick into that fullscreen, then FS goes to the thumbnail mode, and right there the freez happens. Then FS will open it in fullscreen mode instantly. Are you actually using Windows Explorer or are you talking about the built-in explorer inside Faststone? When I doubleclick a picture in the Windows Explorer, I don't know if that has any relevance to this discussion. NOTE: I just upgraded to a computer that has a solid-state-drive as its main drive.
